A Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Helping Youth and Families Overcome Barriers to Success and Reach Their Full Potential

Our Mission

A New Beginning Resource Center is a non-profit organization that was established in 2019 with a mission to help people in our community become self-sufficient by assisting with eliminating barriers that prevent marginalized groups from reaching success. Our services include youth programs, referrals to mental health services, rehoming support, job-seeking services, pantry supplies, community engagement through fairs and events, pandemic relief and support services, as well as other services as the needs arise. We intend to be the first step for A New Beginning for every client we serve.

Our Process

Heirarchy of Needs

The first step in the “New Beginning” program is to meet the basic needs of the clients. This includes but is not limited to food, shelter, mental health resources, health services, and transportation. Meeting the basic needs of clients is essential for their physical and mental well-being. When people are hungry, homeless, or struggling with their mental health, it is difficult for them to focus on anything else. The program provides a variety of services to meet the basic needs of clients, including food pantries, shelters, mental health counseling, health clinics, and transportation assistance. The program also helps clients develop the skills and resources they need to become self-sufficient. This includes job training, financial literacy education, and support groups.

Plan It

Once we meet the basic needs, each client meets with a case manager to create a plan for their duration in the program. During this meeting, clients take an assessment to identify their needs, which may include GED, job/career training, job placement, etc. The case manager will work with the client to develop a plan that is tailored to their individual needs and goals. The plan may include short-term goals, such as finding a job or getting a GED, as well as long-term goals, such as becoming self-sufficient or getting a college degree. The case manager will also provide support and guidance throughout the program, helping the client to stay on track and achieve their goals.

Success

Once the plan is created for the client, the timeline serves as a guide for both the client and case manager. All clients have support during the program to assist in meeting their goals. This includes but is not limited to financial literacy resources and courses to minimize financial pitfalls after leaving the program. Mental health resources to support a healthy mind to minimize mental set-backs during their process. ANB provides any and all resources to ensure our clients are productive citizens of the community when they leave the program.
